Do you have 100% trust in your team? And, more importantly, does your team have absolute trust in you as their leader?
Trust is a very empowering force. I have worked in teams where trust was very high; I felt safe and challenged in equal measure allowing me to perform at my best. I have also worked in teams with low levels of trust where I felt frustrated, demotivated, and impotent.
Trust doesn’t just happen, it requires conscious and consistent effort to nurture over time. In my experience, most business leaders don’t invest sufficient time and effort in building trust within their teams. Consequently, the team is unable to perform to its full potential and the business results remain below par.
Building trust in teams is one of the leadership topics we’ll be exploring at the “Leadership in a Changing World” event in Mallorca 24-28th April. A three-day development programme designed especially for SME business owners.
Investing three days honing your leadership skills will have a profound impact on you, your team, and your business.
